Aron Belinky is a sustainability specialist, in corporate social responsibility, ESG, impact investing and sustainable production and consumption.
He is currently a researcher, teacher and professional speaker, being the leading partner of ABC Associados, his consulting company, which is technically responsible for initiatives such as ISE B3 and ICO2 B3 (the two main Brazilian Stock Exchange ESG Indexes); the Fashion Transparency Index-Brazil (for NGO Fashion Revolution) and researches such as The Perception of ESG by Brazilian SMEs (for Sebrae, the Brazilian Service for Entrepreneurship Development) and Healthy and Sustainable Lifestyles researches, for Instituto Akatu for Conscious Consumption, among others.
As an academic, Aron holds a PhD degree from EAESP/FGV, Brazil’s #1 business school, researching the assessment of corporate contributions to sustainable development and their alignment with the 2030 Agenda and its SDGs. He holds an MSc from the same school, researching the interplay of consumption, citizenship, democracy and sustainability in contemporary Brazil. His bachelor training was in Public Administration at EAESP/FGV, and Geography at FFLCH/USP.
Active in the socio-environmental field since the 1980s, he combines experiences from business, NGO and academic backgrounds. His trajectory in Brazilian and international processes includes activities such as building the international social responsibility standard (ISO 26000), leading programs at the prestigious Center for Sustainability Studies of Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGVces) and articulating sustainable development-related dialogues in the context of major United Nation’s conventions, most recently involving the negotiation and dissemination of 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
