Sean Lyons is internationally recognised as an author, pioneer, and thought leader in the value preservation and corporate defence space. His influential book Corporate Defense and the Value-Preservation Imperative: Bulletproof Your Corporate Defense Program has been critically acclaimed by a host of distinguished corporate commentators. As the architect of the cross-functional discipline of corporate defence management (CDM) he is widely regarded as the foremost authority in this emerging field. Sean is acknowledged as the pioneer responsible for proposing the umbrella term “Corporate Defence” to represent an organisation’s collective programme for self-defence, and also for being the first person to propose the extended “Five Lines of Defence” oversight model. He has spoken as a subject matter expert on value preservation at lectures, seminars, and conferences in Europe, North America, and Asia. With over three decades experience in this area, he is a firm advocate of the requirement for value preservation to play a more prominent role in corporate purpose and corporate strategy.
